    كما جاء في قانون الأحوال المدنية والسجل المدنـي في المواد 20، و21، و23، و24، و26، و29، و30 أنه يجب تسجيل الطفل بعد ولادته بناءً على التبليغ بالمواليد إلى إدارة الأحوال المدنية خلال ستين يوماً من الولادة، أما الطفل اللقيط، فمنذ العثور عليه وتسليمه إلى إحدى المؤسسات الخاصة بالرعاية أو ملجأ لاستقباله، وإذا حصلت الولادة أثناء السفر يمنح الطفل شهادة ميلاد عند الوصول إلى أول ميناء في الجمهورية اليمنية أو إلى قنصلية اليمن في بلد الوصول،كما جاء في الفقرات من (أ) إلى (ه‍) من المادة 3 من قانون الجنسية.
  • Ahmed Abdo Ali Gubran, a Yemeni national, born on 1 January 1974 in Al Badia, Yemen, residing, since 1981, in Riyadh; a lawyer and legal advisor; with Yemeni passport No. 00609 438, issued in Riyadh on 13 June 2001 by the General Consulate of Yemen, married and father of four children, was arrested on 15 September 2004 at Riyadh International Airport upon his arrival from Damascus, where he had stayed during three months attending a postgraduate university course.
    وأحمد عبدو علي جبران، اليمني الجنسية، المولود في البادية باليمن بتاريخ 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 1974، ويقيم في الرياض منذ عام 1981؛ هو محام ومستشار قانوني؛ يحمل جواز السفر اليمني رقم 00609 438 الصادر عن القنصلية العامة لليمن بتاريخ 13 حزيران/يونيه 2001؛ وهو متزوج وله أربعة أطفال.
  • This has resulted in (a) amendment of the Yemeni Nationality Act No. 6 of 1990, by granting the original nationality to the children of a Yemeni mother married to a foreigner on an equal footing with the children of a Yemeni father; (b) addition of an article to the Police Authorities Act No. 15 of 2000, providing for the right of Yemeni women to serve in the police force; (c) amendment of the Social Insurance Act No. 26 of 1991, providing for equality between women and men in terms of the age of retirement; and (d) amendment of article 95 of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Act, granting Yemeni women the right to work with their husbands in the same mission abroad.
    وقد أدى هذا إلى (أ) تعديل قانون الجنسية اليمنية رقم (6) لسنة 1990 للمساواة في الحصول على الجنسية الأصلية بين طفل اليمنية المتزوجة من أجنبي والطفل الذي يكون أبوه يمنياً؛ (ب) وإضافة مادة إلى القانون رقم (15) لسنة 2000 بشأن حق اليمنيات في العمل في هيئات الشرطة؛ (ج) وتعديل القانون رقم (26) لسنة 1991 بشأن التأمينات الاجتماعية، حيث نص على المساواة بين النساء والرجال في سن التقاعد؛ (د) وتعديل المادة 95 من قانون السلك الدبلوماسي والقنصلي، حيث أعطى اليمنيات الحق في العمل مع أزواجهن في نفس البعثة بالخارج.
